Video Performance Problems?

There are two factors to a quality online video experience on the web: connection speed and the speed of your computer.

If the video starts and stops, or is jerky, you probably have a slow internet connection. To avoid this issue, simply pause the video and wait until the bar under the video "fills up" — generally about a minute on a dial-up connection.

If the video has "lip sync" issues, this is due to computer performance on the H.264 video codec.

Unfortunately we cannot suggest a fix to this problem, other than to check to make sure you do not have an excessive number of programs or anti-virus software running while playing the video.

About the H.264 video codec we use

The H.264 codec compresses files to a very small size, but demands more CPU/video performance from your computer to decompress the files. Virtually all corporate computers (as of September 2009) are capable of playing H.264, which is why we encode videos to this standard. We understand that this may be an issue with netbooks and older laptops.

We apologize if this has caused you problems.
